a brighter day!

 Sunday meant church & lunch! Two of life's best things.

I love dressing up for church. I think it all goes back to a high school choir in which we weren't allowed to wear jeans...

I thought this would be a good time to try out those new boots! And what better way to brighten up a dreary winter day than with some yellow?

Look, I know going to church is not about getting dressed up. But it is a fun part for me! And who is worth a shower, if not God?

In church I started to think about the song we sing after they pass the plate for the offering. The doxology has always been such a sweet & simple prayer for me. When I don't have the words to think of my own thank you, it is nice to have the language of tradition!

Praise God from whom all blessings flow

After church P & I went on a mini-date to Cafe Romeo for some delicious lunch.

It was so good that for a little while P & I were distracted by eating and didn't talk!

Oh yes.

Sunday is a good day.
