Over the weekend my dear friends came to visit us in DC!! We had so much fun catching up and being girly. And sort of squinty. Just me on that last one. The weekend included cupcakes and watching Contagion (so scary!) and eastern market and busboys and poets.
Also, I brought home a new addition to the P&K household... a small paper mache deer.

(As we strolled through Georgetown -- an obligatory stop on the DC tour for visitors! -- we happened into West Elm, where this little fellow was marked down to $5!! They mistakenly think of him as a "holiday" item, but around here he is a friend for all seasons.)

P and I also had the chance to babysit... here he is, looking like an adorable giant in front of a tiny kitchen.

The weekend was good to us! Filled with friends. Old and new. Human and paper mache. Adult and Toddler. ;-)
