anniversary weekend

P and I started celebrating our anniversary on Friday, because we were just super excited and anniversaries on Monday are like Halloweens on Monday -- you get to celebrate and dress up and eat candy each weekend night! Not that our anniversary involved dressing up (or maybe it did!! I'll never tell! This is a pg blog, after all! Ha!) We had our favorite sandwich in DC for lunch on Friday (the buffalo chicken sandwich at the tombs in Georgetown!) to kick off the weekend, and proceeded to do so many fun things that we nearly exploded. We turned our bed into a giant fort (this was only a matter of time with a four poster bed, am I right? Canopy beds--not just for hanging wet clothes on anymore, people!!) and watched Indiana Jones movies inside. We made s'mores over our stove top and went to the beach. We had dinner with my older brother and his sweet girlfriend in Annapolis and tried an amazing new place for brunch in DC where we got to sit at a reeeeally cute corner table. We found a set of Spanish steps in DC that made me think of Rome and shared a chai milkshake from teaism! I mean. Come on. It was the best weekend ever.
