This blog is bound by a peculiar set of questions about art and silliness...
P and I both spend a lot of our days thinking about suffering -- at an international non-profit & at a program about international humanitarian work -- and sometimes it is a struggle, in the midst of that, to remember the value of life's little things.
So I want to keep track of them here, on this blog.
In fact, we have started to think that those little things might not be so little after all.

What is it about art, beauty, design, even -- gasp -- fashion, that draws us in?
What is the role of art in seeking justice? In securing human rights?
We want to use this space to collect images that inspire and delight us, to question patterns of consumption, to explore the connections between art and justice, and to highlight organizations that use art to soothe and encourage those in need, like these three.
It's not just a defense of cupcakes and lipstick, though it may indeed be that, it is a grasping at something like a life filled with delight.

This is an effort in collaborative creation, so please join in!
